_I am Back

BeGiN_

Well…Here I am. After a long spell, I am back to blogging. Looking back, it seems that I often get burned out by life and I am pulled away from my blogs. Though, I always manage to give updates on what’s going on with me. Update #1…

The hurricanes are said and gone, but no one around here seems to be affected by it mentally. Maybe its because we have almost as many threats from hurricanes as Florida does, or maybe the people here are shutting it all out. People from N.O. are still scattered throughout Louisiana and other parts of the United States. FEMA is doing its usual “denied” stance for people that have actual damage. That in itself is really nothing new here. They “claim” to help but many get turned around, like us for example. There also a NUMBER of other people with real damage too but they are “denied” as always. SO with them not even being a factor, it seems that the communities themselves are picking up the slack where the federal government has failed miserably. So that is how we and many others are getting help nowadays. Anyway…

IT seems that there are MANY deaths that have been happening for the last month in a half. My mother has been to SO MANY funerals, that its ridiculous. People ranging from early 20s to late 80s. Just dead. Every Saturday from the last month and a couple this month. The last one I’ve been to was my late Great Aunt “Cookie”. But that’s not all, my Sister and her husband came down from Texas because HIS uncle was being buried two days later. A couple of days before, WWE Wrestler Eddie Gurrero was found dead in his hotel. No doubt that they had his funeral some time this week also…And so close to ThanksGiving too. My coworker and distant cousin has had to bury two other people in her family this year also. I’m pretty sure that its nothing to feel down on but most of the deaths that I’ve heard of have been in this area. Its really spooky at the amount of people that have died so far and so close in time.

Well, the other stuff that has been going on…

I’ve been neglecting my design duties once again. It was easy not too long ago. But NOW its just feeling like work. I don’t LIKE when it starts feeling like work. I get detatched from it and it just gets pushed to the back of my hard drive. My deviantART account is being met with submissions that are becoming farther and farther between submissions. I have works of art that I have YET to finish and MANY more that I haven’t even started on past just scanning it into the computer. My 1up blog has been seeing a couple of submissions however. I’ve learn to love my console games again. I recently bought a NintendoDS that has been in use since I bought the thing. That is thanks to my nephew that is. He can’t get enough of Castlevania. I, however often play Meteos which is an awesome puzzle game. I also bought Fire Emblem for the Gamecube. I loved the Gameboy versions and this one is no exception to the rule.

I finally decided to start on my blog’s layout. I went all out tweaking my Guild Wars photoblog from a selectable theme that I found here. I even tweaked my 1up blog to the point where I’m allowed to “edit”. Only this one is left. I have some ideas that sparked to me recently while thinking about Samurai Champloo. Looking back on this blog, I haven’t been too upbeat in a while. Maybe life is taking its toll on me. Or maybe I’ve become too laid back. Either way, I have to find the spark that allowed me to better express myself again or I am lost forever.

…Well, I’ve been gone a while but life often gets in the way. ANYWAY, This pic was taken on-top of Augury Rock. A VERY nice view of an ancient city in the background and dunes of pure sand…

Addiction in a Box…

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usA late entry into my collection is Meteos. This came out some time ago but I just had to get it. Literally, I get now what everyone was talking about. This game is like addiction in a box. I even put down Fire Emblem to play a couple 100 rounds of “Star mode”. Kicking “Mr. Eyeball’s” ass is always satsifying. Though it is puzzling at times to figure out the properties of the different planets. Most of them I figured out but the rest is just weird. Anyway, this is a VERY good game in disguise.
